Its looking really nice. My german skills not the best but i can understand most of it from the page. however i was unable to find the place where i apply for alpha testing. i really do love MMORPGs, been playing 4 years of WoW and 1 and half year of Warhammer Online + number of others which were much shorter time tho..
Currently searching something new to play and ofc prefered is native linux client, however if game works fine under wine i can play also.

Really looking forward to it and cant wait :P

>Open Source handheld gaming device

Does this mean that the device has Open Source hardware, or Open Source only related to linux kernel and some userspace libs like SDL?

From the sound of this thing, it seems to just be a Dingoo that's only purpose is to sell us old games.

There's nothing inherently wrong with wanting to run a business, or using the idea of open source as marketing, but I'd be wary of this.

Is the DRM required? Will publishers be allowed to provide DRM-free downloads?

but... the iPod is all but dead, replaced by integrated/multipurpose devices running iOS and Android. Why faff around building a hardware device, instead of a multiplatform mobile app? If Nintendo can't get traction with the 3DS, why try to compete in that market?

Good to see this project is getting somewhere.
It is always very ambitious sounding when a project announces to be working on a MMORPG, specially when the focus is a Linux client, with no previously released games.
I wish them all the best!

At the bottom right there is a little icon that could help you ;-)

For people that don't find it:
https://annorath-game.com/index.php/en

Hint: You don't need to know German to read that site ;-)
